A BIG WELCOME TO THE SPARKIES WEBSITE!

"Thank you so much, my son has achieved so much in his first term of primary school, all because of the foundations he made at Sparkies"

"Sparkies has provided my child with a fantastic start to her school life"

"My son has really blossomed during his time with you. The job you are doing with the children here is wonderful...."

"Like many Mums, I felt a bit overwhelmed when it came to choosing a nursery for my child, especially since we had never really left him before and I knew that he (and I) would find it difficult. I just wanted you to know that I'm chuffed to bits that we chose Sparkies - we really couldn't have chosen better and it's great for me to know that he's so well looked after 3 mornings a week. I think my child has really settled in well now - even though I still get the odd tear at drop off, I know that he enjoys himself when he's there. "

"The management and staff team successfully promote aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework requirements within the suitable and inclusive environment and many aspects of diversity are reflected well. Children are making excellent progress in their learning and development. The management and staff team meet children's individual needs by the exceptionally high quality provision they offer and by working professionally with their parents. They have the capacity to self-evaluate their practice with children and strive towards constant improvement for their benefit."

Children confidently take responsibility for their own personal care. They have high levels of independence, for instance, they very competently dress and undress themselves and make independent choices for their play.

Our children (4) have all attended Sparkies, the thoughtful staff and kindness and most of all the continuity of the same teachers really makes a difference.

Children are highly motivated in their play and make good progress in their learning. They have ample some to explore and many show sustained engagement with the activities they choose

My child always comes home and tells me about his adventures for example: he was certain he was going to the moon to have a tea party. I wrote to the teachers to confirm his attendance at the party. The response I received was ‘ Yes it's on Monday, and we need the following resources to make it happen: tin foil, tubes, old bottles and make believe'!

The teaching is of good quality. Staff make good use of assessment to help them plan activities that challenge children in their learning and help them make good progress

I like the extra classes Sparkies offers - young stars sports and teddy tennis - my daughter loves being outside.

They cook each week, if we are lucky we get to try some of their bakes, my son loves to cook at home too.

Children form close and secure attachments to their key persons and thrive in the caring environment. This has an excellent impact on children’s well-being

I love to see how my child is learning, I can add our own pictures using the parent app so we can share his experiences together, which is amazing. Her keyperson is approachable and I know I can always speak to the team if I have any concerns.

The key-person system is highly effective and this helps children build firm emotional attachments to staff. Staff are excellent role models, helping children to learn about respect and being kind to their friends. Children behave excellently, play exceptionally well together and look after each other. Staff routinely praise children’s efforts, which contributes towards children developing high self-esteem and confidence. Staff provide children with regular experiences to develop physical skills inside and outside in their large enclosed garden.

Children make good progress and develop key skills for school. For example: they learn to recognise letters and sounds to encourage their early reading and writing skills.
